About

An avid sporting fan. My name is Mark, originally from Limerick (Ireland) but now living in Galway via Boston (Massachusetts).

My passions are Limerick hurling, Munster / Connacht / Ireland rugby and following the exploits of Kendall Wanderers FC where I was a player for thirty minutes (long story), manager of the C team and served as a PRO for the football when in Boston so I know the hard work required to organize the running and management of an amateur sporting team.

I enjoy a good away sporting trip and a couple are planned before the year end so keep posted on this blog where I will recommend the places to go while I am on my travels. Poznan (2012) was exceptional albeit the performances of the Republic of Ireland on the football pitch were a low point. Limerick hurling has given me more lows then highs. I am still haunted by 1994 and that last ten minutes in the All Ireland Hurling final (have no ill will to the county of Offaly let I add).

No sports is out of bounds, hoping that my commentary looks at sporting events from a different angle and maybe highlights a talking point not mentioned by the media massive. Hope you enjoy the blog.

poznan

Regards,
Mark Kennedy
